DOUGLAS J. OBERLIN, PH.D.
POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW
Dr. DJ Oberlin studied nutrition and exercise physiology during his bachelors and masters degrees at the University of Missouri, then received his PhD in exercise physiology at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro in 2016. He has always been interested in the health benefits of exercise, and diet in aging, chronic disease, and obesity. He joined The Suzuki Lab in 2018 After a short postdoctoral position at the Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
SARAH BARNS
LABORATORY MANAGER Laboratory
Sarah received a B.A. in Cellular Neuroscience from Colgate University and is currently completing her Master of Public Health degree at NYU. Her research background is in molecular biomarkers of brain injury and disease; her current research interests are centered around the neuroprotective effects of exercise and its role in improving cognition. After completing her Master's, Sarah plans to either pursue a doctoral degree or continue to work in research.
